A letter to our friends and customers:

Dear Friends,
Here at Makin’ A Splash, it is of the utmost importance that you and our employees will be kept safe. We know that this is temporary but we all must take the necessary precautions for us as long as it takes, and in doing so we will be taking care of things a little bit different this year.
First of all, we will still be opening pools, still testing your pool water and still selling chemicals to keep your pool water safe and clean. Our pool renovation and new construction is proceeding as usual, just with social distancing in place.
To keep everyone safe, we have a box at our storefront for you to drop off your pool water sample to be tested. All we ask is to write your name and phone number on the bottle and we will call you as soon as we test it. We will be offering FREE delivery (in a 10 mile radius) and/or curbside delivery. We will be answering phones all day to take orders and make arrangements to get you your chemicals. Calls will be answered right away and we will get you whatever you need, be it chemicals or parts for your pool. Most of this can be done over the phone. This will be much more time consuming for us, as you could imagine, but if we work together, this can be done, because again, our customers and my employees safety is of the utmost importance. You have been with us for many years and we don’t take that lightly. We will always be here to keep your pool clean and safe to swim in for you and your family all season long.
You can call ahead, or call as you arrive in our parking lot and we will bring out any products needed and we will put them right in your trunk. You can pay with your credit card over the phone thus reducing any unnecessary human contact.
Service calls and repairs are business as usual, the only difference now is that we will require a credit card over the phone and billing will be done via e mail. “Contactless Servicing” is how we can make sure everyone Stays Healthy and Safe.
Many customers are still looking for new pool construction or renovations of their pool and we are still doing this. But now, instead of meeting with you and walking around the yard, it is much safer for everyone if we come to the yard, see what you need and then e mail you the proposal for whatever is needed. Then we can talk on the phone to discuss the project and answer any questions you have.
Our store hours will be the same as last year, 10am to 7pm during the week and 9-5 on Saturdays. Until May 1st we will be closed on Sundays. But you can call anytime to leave a message or an order and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We just ask for patience, this is a big undertaking for us, being a small Mom and Pop business just trying to keep our heads above water (no pun intended) during this crazy time but as we said before, everyone’s safety is most important to us and we will do whatever we can to keep everyone happy and safe.
If you find it necessary to come into our store I just ask that you follow the same protocol that you would in any food store or pharmacy. Social distancing at all times.
This pandemic will end soon but for now we all need to take every precaution needed to do the right thing and help one another as best we can.
This is going to be another hot dry summer and we can keep your pool beautiful and safe.
